Owner and Head Trainer, Michelle Kim, has cherished her love for dogs since childhood, beginning with her first pet. While attending Rutgers University, she engaged in The Seeing Eye puppy raising program. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, she worked at an animal shelter, cleaning kennels and teaching basic obedience to help dogs find homes. It was during this time that Michelle recognized the potential in countless dogs needing guidance and owners lacking knowledge on training. She then trained dogs for Invisible Fence and pursued an apprenticeship with a local dog trainer, expanding her expertise beyond basic obedience in a board and train program. This journey led to the creation of Canine Potential which has flourished into its current success. Michelle continuously seeks out courses and seminars to stay updated on animal behavior and training methods. In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking in the woods with her Bully, Taz, who assists in client lessons, and hunting with her Brittany, Minnow, who is learning the ropes as a helper dog. Michelle's mission is to empower as many people as possible to live fulfilling lives alongside their canine companions!
